| Transport a couch on the roof of a Scion XA |

l own a 2006 Scion XA. But I've never really tied down anything on top of it to be transported. I am thinking about tying down a couch on top of it to drive about 15 miles - avoiding the freeway of course. Is this wise? Does anyone have any experience with the roof of an XA? Is it easily strong enough for this kind of thing?
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Do it very late at night when no cars are on the road and drive slow.

Find a friend that has a pickup truck, unless you do not care about your car. It is not designed to haul a load on. It is also unsafe to try hauling a fairly heavy item on the roof of any car.

Hey why not? Add the fridge and the oven too. It will save you a trip back and forth.
