l just bought a 8000k hid conversion kit. The problem is l do not know how to connect these two plugs. Should the white go to the red and the back go the white/black or should it be the other way around.

Looks like a plug and play kit. It should only fit one way and only one way. Keep trying.

white to red..power wires
black to black /white

the conversion kit should have intructions or be plug and play but here it goes the blk and whit is your grond and the red is the positive on toyotas so if your generic kit has to be spliced use the red to white and blk to white and blk just like you had it on you question
remember the color on generic stuff is red possitive blk negatine
