If u properly maintained u can get 200k + miles out of it.
l have kept all my Toyota, Lexus & Scion cars till they hit between 135k to 150k miles before l sell them or trade them in. They all hold up great & l still get good $$ for them. l have never had to do any major work to any Toyota product l have owned aside from the usual stuff oil changes, brakes, new timing belts 90k, Shocks & struts at about 100k +. If properly maintained any Toyota product can take a good beating & just ask for more.

hey, yes they hold up and you can put over 200K miles on it very easily with properly maintenance, l know you wanted to see how fast you could go because it is a new car, but l suggest you do not always do the 105 thing and never ever go to red RPM, just bad for the engine and going 105MPH will get you a nice big speeding ticket. its the best coupe in its class.

1) tc is r made by scion which is owned by toyota. if u take care of it, it will last u for a loooooong time. l drive a 1988 toyota landcruiser & it has over 200,000 miles on it & the only major thing i've had to repair was the master brake cylinder. the engine, radiator, chassis, even the dashboard & radio r all still in good working condition.

2) not only can tc is last u a very long time, they also hold their value well. so u can resell it for a reasonable price later on in the future.

3) if ur into modding, there r a lot of options out there to what u can do to ur tc.

4) if u have a manual, the max speed u can reach (it is been proven by a dyno) is about 130. with the automatic, u can reach l believe 145, but i'm not sure about that. the tc is engine has a lot of torque, & it was made to handle up to 350 whp stock, so this thing can take a beating.

ALSO, forgot to mention but the tc comes with iridium spark plugs, l think thats what they were called. but anyway, with the tc is spark plugs that it comes with u will not have to replace them until u hit 100,000 miles (well actually, around 80k would be better). that should give u an idea of what kind of durability this car has.

basically you have a toyota and they can last forever! going 105 isnt that bad for the car but you probally want to wait a few months before you make that a habit so the engine can get fully lubricated. follow the maintance schedule in the owners manuel and you can deffinitally have this car for 15 years.

They do last long.
The Scion tC is the same car as the older Toyota Celica.
Same engine and chassis. It makes 160HP.
It does the 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds, which is the same as a Mazda 3 with the 2.3L engine.
160HP is good for 125-130mph.

Toyota is the 2nd most reliable brand. Honda being number 1.

They can last long and Japanese engines can take a beating. You do not need to take care of it. It will last over 200,000 miles easily.
