Scrape a bit of the plastic insulation off each of the Scion is taillight wires-enough to attach alligator clips directly to each wire from the corresponding wires that light ur running lights, stop lights & turn signal lights on the trailer. You can use a common ground for each. The alligator clips make for an easy hook-up, compared to a more permanent soldered splice.
Alternatively, there r light splice kits available that employ a multi-pin plugin between both vehicles. These run about $40-$50, & r application specific. Find them at most auto parts stores as well as equipment rental yards, like U-Haul.

Its not even rated to tow. You will end up damaging the car.

blazz - The old xB had even less power than the tC. The new one is the same as a tC. You cant tow with any Scion.

Why in the hell would you want to tow something behind that car. That car is not made to be towing things. If you want to tow something . Should have gotten a scion xB Or another Toytota product---like rav4 (2.4) or tacoma with (4cyldr)

The last two are right. You're not even suppose to tow with that car. Toyota does not even recommend it. That is not a smart move since your entire chassis is not designed for it- meaning you will probably damage the drivetrain and the brakes are not designed to handle the additional weight of even the smallest trailers- causing it to not be very safe either.
