Hi, l am getting a scion xD. (l probably would get the xB... the more l look at it the more l like it... very strange. But l am choosing the xD since it is cheaper and better gas mileage.)

Anyway, eventually l wanna add the 5axis body kit, a spoiler end. That in it self is almost 2000 dollars. And then l realized l should just buy the limited edition scion xD (hot lava). You think l shold get the limited edition (l have one coming inbeing held for me as l already put 500 down) or instead buy the basic one.

l will be spending 20k (rounded up) unless l buy the basic one, which is 18k. This includes everything, liscense, title, and such. Should l spend the extra 2k now, and get a cool color, DAMD body kit, and all the stuff l wanto add eventually on the basic car?
That does not answer my question. Do you think it is WORTH it to buy the special edition or just get the basic and mod it myself?

Also, will the special edition have a better resale value then basic?

Yes they do have a special release XD -2008--- it a orange color---and has trd spring to make the car lower plus has body kit and spoiler on the back

The release series has been a bit of a sore spot among Scion owners. Scion has continually decreased the ''unique'' factor of the rs.

While having an rs model makes u one of 2,000 (give or take), if u start to get active in the Scion community, you're going to find that there r other things u could have bought & made ur xD stand out even further. Best of all, the xD is brand new, so there r lots of opportunities to get free products because companies will need to see how they fit on cars in real life driving situations.

Also, the color is not unique as one of the rs xB is was originally hot lava.

For 2k, u can have a WAY more unique xD than u would from the factory. We recommend checking out some scion forums & seeing what options u have first.

XB is not made any more. XD is replacement and comes with camry engine and gets less MPG and cost more. no matter your bottom line in end it will be same in end as they are prue priced with no exceptions.
