l have an 08 scion tc and would like to eventually get a 6 cylinder engine like in the 08 camry. l will probley do it when the warranty expires and l have a garage and will do all the work for free so no need to gat it done somewhere.any ideas on where to get one.

Sounds like a nice concept but l do not think that the V6 will fit in a TC. If you want it to, it will require a lot of fabricating and other stuff that will probably cost you as much as your TC will be worth. No only that, you will have to look in a junkyard for a totalled newer Camry. The engine new will probably be between $4000-6000 from a dealer and half that if you can find one at a salvage yard.

why make tC a V6..what is the point of doing that..if it is more power why wo not u just get a turbocharger..which will give u atleast 300hp with the engine u have right now and that is more that the camry V6 offers

or just drive ur car as it is. gas prices are already high just stay with V4 and save money and environment w/o burning more fuel to pollute the air (just a thought)

if you have the money then by all means do it. just keep in mind that the engine bay is already crammed with that 4banger and also you have to think about a new tranny. imo if you want that car to be fast trd s/c, s/c pulley and a unichip should put you around 250-280ish horsepower. a s/c alone will keep a tc up with a honda s2000
