l am not 100% sure at to what you're asking, but l can tell u what I'd do. Since it snows there, the question is how much do u incounter? Do u catch yourself in winters driving through snow, or wake up in the morning hopeing it is not too bad? If that is so. Than you're best bet would not be a scion t/c. Just to the fact that it is going to be fort wheel drive. In order to get the best handling, & safest for rain, snow, ice, sleet, or even dry roads, All-wheel-drive is going to be ur best bet. Look into subuaru cars. They're nice, a bit more expensive because they r all-wheel-drive, but u wo not have to worry about getting stuck in any weather condition, & they have very nice handling.

It is not the best car for the snow. l live in upstate NY, where it snows quite frequently & l own an '07 Scion tC. Long story short.crashed the crap out of it in a February ice/snow storm due to low profile tires. It is possible to buy all new rims & tires (which l was not completely aware of beforehand), but it is an added cost & a pain. Although it is a very safe car.not a single scratch on my body & it was a very rough accident. l am trading mine in for a Mercury Mariner instead. l prefer AWD or 4WD in the winter.

It has performance tiers that are not made for driving in the snow but with some all season radials or snow tires it would be just fine in the snow.

ANY car can be driven well in the snow, it all depends on the driver. l live in the Detroit area & frequently have to drive on the unsalted/plowed highways early on weekend mornings. that being said, an all wheel drive car, such as an Audi or a Subaru will give u better traction, but remember that 4X0=0. The tires that come stock on any car r usually not the best quality, so once u wear through ur first set, u can buy better replacements (since u need to anyway). So that car handles fine in the snow, no worse than my old '96 Mazda Protege, which l was driving around in the mountains of Kentucky when no one else dared to be on the road.Granted the mountains in Kentucky r not the Rockies, but the point still stands. The car is fine in the snow, just drive with caution like u should in any car. Good luck to you!

thechief is got it..

It is all on the driver. Thank god for living in So Cal. where we only deal with the 185 degree + weather in MARCH!! lol. l would not mind a little snow for once. But best of luck in your winter adventures.
