l am in the process of buying a 2008 scion xb and was wondering if parking assist was something absolutely NEEDED. Like l know trucks need them cause its hard to calculate the length of the bed when you're reversing etc. But since the XB is literally flatin the back you can visually see how close or not etc.

l just wanted to know from owners out there who is driven them.

Parking assist is a joke. If people cant park safely they probably should not be driving.

The parking assist is for just what the original commercial featuring it on a mini-van intended, if your kids leave things in the driveway and you do not know to look at the driveway before backing out, you may not run over a tricycle.
As has already been said, if you're a capable driver, you wo not need it; you're not so high up that you wo not be able to see that low Shelby Cobra behind you. l would not spend the extra money.

its a waiste of money for sure its more for the soccer mom usage.lol also l have a 06 salsa xb l would not give it up for the new ones. l guess l like kickin it oll skool.lol

Do you drive? Are you good at parking?

l would never get parking assist because l think parking is very easy. Even parallel parking is easy for me.
