2006, 2007 or 2008? Im skeptical about buying a brand new car but the look is different for the 2008 and l like it.
Also, what are pros and cons for this car and how does it drive in bad weather conditions.. snow..rain.. etc?

All information helps!! THANKS!
im a girl, l want the car for the looks and the price.

also, l have a 02 grand am right now, its good in the snow( which l am terrified of driving in) and l do not wanna get a car that is bad in the snow.. thats my main concern and any problems that l may run into...

well as far as driving conditions go, it all depends on the tires you put on it, and remember they are front wheel drive not 4 wheel, so you think about it, and as far as wanting to race it or anything.dont they are super slow, l was at the race track and they got stomped at every race, even with a turbo, as far as looks go its a clean lookin ride

LOVE LOVE LOVE my TC. l bought a brand new 2008, bcz after my last car l refuse to ever buy used again. ive had the car since october and have had no problems with it yet. l live in florida so l dont know how it does in the snow, but the traction is not the best in the rain all the time.i just stay away from puddles. plus with the '08 u get your first 2 oil changes for free.

Scion tc is nice.but the stock tires are not great for snowy areas. You could buy snow tires for them.
l would also recommend looking at either the mitsubishi lancer evolution or subarbu wrx sti great cars.

Yes l would!

l am a Scion Salesperson & have sold many tC's. l have yet to hear any complaints regarding the vehicle. It really depends on what u r looking for in a car.

It has the Quality, Reliability & Dependability to be expected of a Toyota product. It has a wealth of standard features, both for safety & convenience, & of course the ability to have it personalized with only the additional options that u r interested in. It is priced under $19,000 which makes it affordable for many as a first car.

Aside from a few minor visual enhancements in the 2008 (grill, headlights & tailights) the look of the tC will be the same for the years u r interested in. From that perspective if u can find a 2006 that suits you, u will probably save a few thousand dollars. Of course there were some other changes to the 2008, such as side/curtain airbags standard, which makes it a safer car in a crash. If this is important to u & u decide on a used car, just check to see if it has the extra airbags as an option.

Also on the 2008 the sound system was upgraded to include iPod capability controlled through the stereo as a standard feature & a subwoofer located in the rear cargo area underneath the deck. This adds a sound much superior to the former years. However, these things r also available as add-ons if u purchase a former model.

The tC is equipped with ABS (anti-lock brakes) & front wheel drive. This gives u a greater level of control than cars that r not equipped as such. l drove mine over 300 miles in a snow storm through Indiana on my way to Chicago (not something l would suggest). l had the regular all season tires on it. It was NOT a fun drive, but l was able to maintain control of the vehicle the entire way without loss of control, going off the road, et cetera. Snow tires would definitely have helped, but I've only encountered that situation once in three years so special tires for me would be a waste of money. Any other driving conditions have not presented a problem.

l have listed a few links that may be helpful. You might find a little less biased information there. l did try to be objective, but after all. l am the Kings Scion Guy! :D

Two things here.

1) Scion Guy, you're an idiot. There r probably more complaints about the Scion tC than any other Toyota or Scion.

2) To answer ur question, l would not suggest u buy this car. l bought a 2008 about 4 months ago & l wish l never even saw it. The thing has so many wierd noises, not including the loud engine/road noise, & is not worth the price. Sure, it is a cheap ''sports car,'' but it barely even makes that genre. l bought it thinking it would be as reliable a car as any Toyota, & l was wrong. It needs a sixth speed & more interior room, fewer blind spots, & so much more. l have been fortunate enough not to get in an accident yet, but I've heard they r horrible when it comes to safety in a crash.

Overall, no, l would not suggest buying any Scion tC.

1. Brittany, you're an idiot.
2. l have owned 2 tC is (still have the 2nd) & have serviced many others, & have found the tC is to be VERY reliable & very easy to maintain. The stock tires r not good for winter conditions & r a bit noisy. But the tC is a fun car to drive & ride in (full grown man can sit in the back seat with the front seat all the way back). It does have a couple of blind spots u need to get used to, but does not take long to adjust to (unless you're an idiot!). It is a low end 'sports car' (although, l do not really consider it a sports car - more like a compact with power) with alot of standard features u will pay alot more for on other models, i.e., the panoramic moonroof, sound system, etc.

shop around, because EVERY car maker has a couple lemons, even Toyota, but l have not seen too many

Savage thanks for shutting brittany up!! The scion tc is a great car and it does have plenty of interior room.im 6'5'' and l fit easily in the car l could even ride in the backseat if l wanted to.and its not made to be some luxury vehicle in the inside.. its a compact/sports car..Scion Guy was right in saying that there arent too many complaints with this car.i have heard of very few.

Brittney is an ignorant idiot who knows nothing about anything & should NOT be breathing our air. Anyways, the tC is a great car! l own an 08 Flint Mica. There is no better car out there for the money. Yes, there r faster & better cars out there, but for a higher price. It is a quick, peppy, sporty car for low cost. There r more standard features to it then any others in it is class.
As for handling, check into Toyo Proxie 4's, heard very good things about them & r planning to put them on mine when l need new tires. Get a tC & stand out from the Civics & Avis rent-a-Cobalts. Check out other sites like car & driver for an unbias opinion or scionlife.com & see what true scion owners say about their cars. Look at how many tC is alone u can find in So Cal, Arizona & Nor cal. that should tell u something. Best of luck & if u need more info, write me.

Oh yea.. & Brittney ''heard'' they r horrible in accidents? You know, cars come with this piece of paper taped to the window that shows a saftey rating. Please read it instead of ''hearing'' about it.

(Brittney & l do not get along very well lol)
