Hey.l just got an '08 tC and know that in the past you'd be able to change the text on the headunit to whatever welcome message that you wanted.l found instructions online for '05 and '06 tC's.l tried the '06 instructions but it did not work...l have the stock Pioneer headunit.Anyone know how to change the text?

Check the owners manual. It explains it, it takes about 5 minutes.

This should work l have a 07 TC:

Step 1: When the key is in the ''OFF'' position, press & hold the ''MUTE'' button on the stereo deck.

Step 2: While still holding the button, switch the key to the ''ACC'' setting.

Step 3: Than quickly go from the ''MUTE'' button to the number ''1'' button & hold that down.

Step 4: While holding the ''1'' button, switch the ignition back to ''OFF''.
The stereo should still remain on even with the ignition in the ''OFF'' position.

Step 5: You should be able to customize ur message by using the number ''3'' & ''4'' buttons to change characters & the number ''6'' button to select the character.

Power, accessory to off position, press and hold mute button while turning key to accessory position, horizontal line in LCD display starts to flash, w/in 15 sec. press and hold the ''1'' button and turn key to off position, now have 60 seconda to program a message up to 16 characters, use ''3'' and ''4'' buttons to scan through the letters, get to the letter u want and press preset ''6 ''5'' deletes a character, when done, press and hold preset ''6''
