Congrats.enjoy your ride. l have read all about the new design and new engine for it too. im sure you will love it.

The xB has grown up and is now built off of the Toyota Celica/Scion tC platform..hints the engine and body changes..

The olde generation xB was built off of the Toyota Echo/Yaris platform.

l do not know what your question is, but the nose of the new xB is entirely too long, and throws off the proportions. The xB went from being a box, to a disaster.

l did not like the old xB either but they made it much worse with the new one. The old one had really good mileage and lots of room but it was ugly. The new one is heavier, uglier and probably gets about 10 mpg less. Its bigger though.

Joe - The tC and Celica are different platforms. The tC and new xB are built on the European Toyota Avensis platform. Thats why they dont share any parts with the Celica.

Not the same boxy look but will STILL scare buzzards off a gut truck. YUK!!!

This is not a question, but anyways l will put my 2 cents in. The xB is a unique ride, do not listen to anyone else. If you like it then forget everyone else is opinion. Note: People either hate the xB or like it.

I've got a the 2008 XB and it rocks!

But to get back some of that boxy look it HAS to have the spoiler installed.
