Are Scion TC's noisy when your driving down the highway

its moderate. But it is a sports car, so it will be a little nosiy.

Go to the dealer and test drive one. turn the radio off and the AC off too. Then all you will hear is the engine and the wind noise. Make your own call on this one.

l own a 2007 TC.

Yeah, they are a little noisy, but that mainly depends on the pavement surfaces. But you have to remember, this thing is a sport coupe and the suspension is going to be stiff for better handling.

They are a really good car.

Some of the noise is because the entire top of the car is glass and not steel.

Scion tC is r NOT sports cars nor do they have any type of 'sport suspension'. They r noisy due to poor noise dampening & insulation due to all the shortcuts that Toyota took to keep the tC inexpensive. Also, some Scion execs thought it would be 'cool' to make the stock intake system sound like a cold air intake system. So at around 3000 RPM, the car makes this annoying high pitch sound. Scion tC is also sound like diesel trucks at idle, & when l asked a Scion mechanic, he said it is the fuel injectors.

haha a sports car with sport suspension? Its a sport coupe and its got pretty soft suspension. Lots of the noise is from the crappy and expensive Bridgestone Potenza tires that they came with. Those things make tons of road noise. Different tires helped the noise and had better traction. Ive got Yokohamas which are much better.

Yea, its a bit noisy but you really dont have to raise you voice any louder when your talking to someone else.

Alot of popular add ons for Scion are available. The most popular is cold air induction, catback exhaust and woofer. The TC comes with everything that is needed for normal driving. That is why they are priced the same. You can build on to your liking. Impressive is the supercharger kit!

ive been driving mine for over a month now, including many highway trips and so far ive noticed no noises really at all.

Man, people r getting dumber & dumber by the day. First off, Gio needs to get the hell off a computer, Bruce needs to read a question before he gives a usless answer & matt needs to take a damn economics class & stop breathing my air. The noise level is average for the tC. You can try changing out the stock tires for better ones, the Turanza is make a lot of noise, try Yokohama. l know there r quiter cars on the road but the tC does have the same sound dampening material as the overpriced toyotas, l mean Lexus'.
