which car would beat the other in a race, a 2007 scion tc, or an older (maybe 2000?) ford lightening?the lightening has an updated intake and racing clutch.

Depends on the length of the race. The lightning would get killed out of the chute because of the lack of traction, but once in motion it would kill the scion. 1/4 mile, prob the scion, 1/2 mile definitely the lightning.

i recommend Impreza from Subaru.
the prices are almost the same between a tC and an Impreza

The ford lightening would eat the scion for lunch.. Maybe if the Scion was running nitro.. And a souped up eng.. But the lightening is very quick... A 4 cylinder verse a 8 cylinder.The 8 cylinder hands down..

Lightning no matter what. Especially with an intake and clutch. Even the supercharged scion could not keep up with an old bone stock lightning. Lightning does 0-60mph in the low 5 second range and high 13 second 1/4 mile and the tc does 0-60 in the 6 second range and maybe does 14 second range 1/4 mile times.

Scion Tc. Because the Tc is light and aerodynamic than the lightning. Besides, Trucks were not meant to race. Lightning has to much mass and weight and lack of aerodynamics.

What kind of ? is that? You obviously dont know anything of cars. A Ford Lightning comes stock with a supercharger, the Tc is a sedan.
