Magna flow would be a better choice for ur 4 cylinder. The best would be borla though if u like a deep rumble. Whatever u do, do not get talked into getting flowmasters. Most of the exhaust companies r flowmaster ''specialists'' & distributors, but they do not tell u that flowmasters r made specifically for V8's. But yea, l would go with the magna flow if that is ur alternative. Also, with the cat back l would first get a cheap intake from eBay & some new spark plug wires. maybe 8-10mm. Hope this helps

Magnaflow makes decent exhausts, low noise so you do not sound like a can of bee is flying around.
Pricewise, it will probably run you cheaper than the TRD parts. Only bonus to the TRD parts are if they fail, or the car fails, all of it is under warrenty.
Try checking out the Greedy TI-C exhaust. Nice look and good sound.

TRD is just for the name. l have the TRD & it sounds nice, but gives no performance gains whatsoever, plus it is around $400+ for just the axleback.
My buddy has the Magnaflow on his '06 tC & he loves it. Sounds nice, not too loud but a low rumble. Gives ok performance gains with headers & s-pipe. You will have to search around ScionLife.com for the dyno.
The best exhausts for the tC as for performance gains, r the Ark DT-S, Agency Power, Draxas, & Tanabe, they all make full cat-backs.
If u r going for sound, then check this link or search on youtube for different exhausts on a Scion tC. Good luck!

l have two friends with tcs. one has the trd and it sounds really nice, the other bought a tanabe one, and it was kind of disappointing because it wasnt much different from stock. once he added a trd intake it made it a little louder, and you could feel a difference in power. the trd one has a nice sound and its under warranty so you wont have to worry about anything. search around online and you can find a good price

There are a lot of exhausts for the Scion tC. Most are NOT catback exhausts, but axle-back, meaning there is only a rear section, without the mid-pipe. These axlebacks should bolt right up to the stock mid-pipe. The HKS exhaust is very popular with Scion tC fans. Otherwise, there is also Greddy and Tanabe too. You can see all exhaust options for the Scion tC at raceinspired.com. http://raceinspired.com/s-43-scion-tc.aspx.

Injen Ses is the perfect exhaust, TRD exhaust is for looks and sound and its pricy.

the TDR piece is expensive. just like most of the other ''aftermarket'' parts at the dealership, you dont see any gain for the bank you will put out. l installed a greddy evo2 on my 07 tC in march and l love it. l upgraded my headers and installed an injen cold air intake first, and the evo 2 produces way better sound than my buddys tC with the AEM intake and TDR exhaust installed at the dealership.

Better! l have it on mine more HP andTQ nicer tone and works well with highflow cats and downpipes.
