so l have a 2005 scion tc and im looking to upgrade everything.does anybody know of a faster engine l could drop in the scion tc.

l would leave it alone cause when you start messing with things they tend to wear out faster and dont last for shit. l know cause l did it. brand new car l had l souped it up and drove it hard it was the engine was toast at15000 miles. leave it alone and for the price you would pay to buy a new engine and all upgrades you could buy your self a project car and make it go as fast as you want. good luck man hope you dont burn up your tc

like the first person said, if you change the engine in a scion tc you make it more vulnurable for it to break

go to the junkyard and buy a decent chevy ford dodge or plymouth. you can do more with those cars becasue they were made for speed and wuld cost you the same to restore and soup up as it wuld to soup up a scion

Leave your stock engine (which has some potential) and go the forced induction route. Either get the TRD Supercharger or the ZP l Turbo charger. Both make the tC quite a formidable little machine. Best luck.
