hasanyone seen the new 2008 scion xb? what do you think of them? im thinking about purchasing one. any suggestion where is the best place to purchase one at? l live in southern cali L.A. area

I've saw the new 2008 Scion xB as they first shown it at the Toyota/Scion dealer in my area (Sacramento, CA) last month & it was very nice. That car is larger, roomier, more powerful (158hp instead of 108hp), & less box-shaped than the soon-to-vanish 2006 xB (only under 400 left of the 06's). Also even though for now with a few Scion accessories, the 2008 xB will be getting more on the way later this year.

The new xB has one thing the previous model did not. A available GPS navigation system. That is one thing u can also find when u build ur Scion at scion.com. Just build ur xB on what accessories they have & they add that accessory on to the picture above on the build ur Scion page (broadband mode only), after you're done, print the sheet on the ''Get it'' section & give it to the Scion retailer in ur area. They will take the sheet & let Scion build ur xB to ur liking. Scion will then give the model to ur dealer & u can buy it. For what l know with all accessories the price can go up to $26,000 but for a nicely equipped one (GPS, sub-woofer, a neon kit, 19'' rims & performance accessories) will only be around $24,000. From where u r from, l would say there is one in Northridge called Northridge Scion & is on 19550 Nordhoff Street. l may not live in Southern California, but l just search for it on the internet, but if u think this one is too far from you, on newcars.org u can find the dealers throughout California & narrow it down to ur area.

Note: As l know, on scion.com, u can not just build on a 2008 xB, but also u can check & build the 2007 tC coupe plus build one of the remaining 2006 xBs & 2006 xAs. Be aware that the xA is next to vanish along with the 2006 xB. the xA will be replaced with the new, 128hp, 2008 xD.

l saw it recently at the Omaha Scion Get together & show..test drove it, & it was nice.but l think l like my 2006 better.guess l am just used to mine, l added my own gps
you can buy one at any toyota/scion dealer. They have one price with no haggling or dealing, so u need to go to the one that is convienent, & that u know u trust for service etc, My dealer gave me 6 free oil changes on top of scions 3 free ,..so that is9 free ones, plus l know they give good service.
the one thing that bugged me about the new improved model..is now there is a blind spot l am not used to having.


l added the neon lights in the interior, sport pedels, the upgradeed tail lights, floor mats, chrome exhust pipe cover, crusie control & gps..and it was still under 16000. so maybe a 2006 is a better deal then the previous posters 2007.
l have adored my ugly little box.my post fusion back pain is gone, & l have drove it 22000 miles injust 5 months, so l am in it alot.
l have replaced two windshields so make sure u get zero deduct on ur insurence..but l drive gravel, & had a piece of th loess hills fall on it..so l guess the windshields r to be expected.. was rearended. l only had 400 damage..the dude that hit me..over 3000. l drove away.and there was only a little paint transfer on my bumper..no one could tell it happened..he was towed.
made me like it even more

l have an '05 xB and l drove the new xB over the weekend and it rocks! l really do not see it as a tuner car though. More like soccer mom mini van! :)

l have a Blackberry Crush colored one.
l love the way my car drives & the amount of room it has.
l am averaging 25mpg in city driving l have the 5 s[peed stick.

Longo Toyota in El Monte may have a good selection of these cars. But these cars r selling fast & most dealers sell them as soon as they get off of the truck.
If u want to buy one just call ur local dealer & see what they have. The pricing on scions r fixed so the dealer will not be able to price gouge you. Just make sure u know what options u want. Options r expensive & mostly cosmetic. Do not buy wheels from the dealer. Even the cheap 16 inch alloy wheels r a $795 option.
l went to a local wheel shop & had some different wheels installed for $450.00 these r the same wheels Redlands Scion was selling for $2100.00
l purchased a car with no options. The car comes fully loaded with everything that l wanted. You just need to decide if u want stick or auto Transmission & the color.
You can always add options to ur car at a later date. the price will still be the same. Scion Accessories pricing include installation.
