l am planning on purchasing a Scion but l would like to see what other people who have already purchased a Scion, suggests as optional features.
Are they too expensive? Could you find it cheaper else where?

l am in the same boat, looking to buy in a few months. Check out scion.com & click ''build my scion.'' It shows all the optionals & the price for them. As for a better price, u may want to check ebay but then u risk the whole 'where has it been & why r u selling it' deal. l like the virtual tour on scion.com it shows what the car would look like with it (if applicable) & gives a brief summary on some options. What r u looking at, Xa, Xb or tc?? The tc has to have the Ped. spoiler in order to look nice!!! :) Good luck & happy hunting!

P.S. Some of the optional things like the blue interior lights r a RIP OFF!!! $250 for two blue lights under the dash. HA!!! l put 2 neons under my seats for under $50 installed. So watch out for things that r general items, but the specifics like the lowering springs, intake etc. u may want to buy through scion or TRD due to the warrenty.

''The tc has to have the Ped. spoiler in order to look nice!!! ''.KILL YOURSELF! Shits ugly dude!

Anyway. l would not purchase anything thats not performance oriented from the dealer, i.e. TRD s/c, intake, short throw shifter. All the aestetic options can be found at a better price elsewhere. Good luck!

Everyone is saying do not purchase from the factory, but if u value ur warranty, purchase performance parts from the factory so u do not void ur warranty on any specific part. Aesthetic things i.e. floormats, lights, body kits, rims, -- yes by all means, look elsewhere.

YO! DO NOT ADD THE DEALER OPTIONS! They are way too expensive, you can find aftermarket stuff for way cheaper! Get your scion stock only and you will save a ton of money. l got mine totally stock and only added the security. l only pay 270 a month. They were charging $120 for the floormats, l bought some at wal mart for $5.00! Go ahead and buy the car, but not the add ons! Look online for all the things you want to add to your car or try local auto shops.

l brought the Azure Pearl 07 manual tC. l love everything about it. The mileage is great & u can not beat all the extras that r included with the car such as cruise control, ipod connection in the center console, sunroof, moonroof, air conditioner, l could go on & on.

But as stated already, just buy it stock & add on later because the options from the dealer r very expensive. l did have the mud flaps, & fog lights put on. The price for a 07 tC stock is $16,400.

for things that u need to physically alter the vehicle to add, get it done at ur dealer. keep ur warranty in tact. otherwise, why buy a brand new off the line car. l have an 06 xb, got the spoiler put on the back from the dealer. changed the tail lights ourselves, added remote start, rims, stereo system, floor mats ourselves also. keep in mind, if u r going to buy brand new, for the style u see currently, buy soon. xb, tc, changing body styles & the xa is soon to be no more ( not that l mind that, the xd is way nicer) check out scion life. lots of ppl, lots of ''alterations''

Love my Scion!! Ca not say enough good things about the car or the company. l would not however recommend having any options put on my the dealership. With Scion it is flat pricing so the dealerships really only make their money on the aftermarket parts. My advice is to buy them on ebay or somewhere else and put them on yourself (scionlife.com - has a great forum for advice) or have someone else put on for you.
Hope this helped - you will love your Scion!!

Definitely get the Scion security with engine disable & transponder key, unless u plan on getting an aftermarket alarm system.

My tC is fully loaded, & if l could choose, l would only keep the panoramic sunroof, upgraded floor mats since it is wet & muddy up here in WA, power windows, & the TRD exhaust. The exhaust has a very nice low tone, not ricey/raspy & looks very nice. But that will cost 400+ at the dealer. l got mine for alot cheaper & installed somewhere else. l also check out ScionLife.com is private classifieds & lots of people sell their OEM stuff for so cheap!

As for Scion accessories, l would not buy everything. Most is for asthetic purposes, but if u have the money, then go for it. l personally recommend buying the ''dress-up'' accessories from eBay, which is what l did. PM me to find out the best deals, l look everyday!

Everything TRD at the dealer is OVERPRICED. l would only buy the TRD rear sway bar, it is great quality & u will notice a HUGE difference. However, it is alot cheaper aftermarket & the sway bar is not going to void anything, unless it is installed wrong & falls off & somehow screws up ur suspension, not likely. TRD shocks r also good & l would recommend getting those at the dealer if u r worried about warranty, but look to spend about 700+ after install.

Take the pedestal spoiler at a minimum.

The color match is important it really finishes off the car nicely.

Everything else, aftermarket.
