im looking to buy a scion tc..is it a good car? does anyone know anything about it?

My best friend drives one, and l test drove one at a dealer. Its nice and drives great, but eats up alot of gas from what l hear. l prefer a 4 door l felt like the car was to small for me, but if you like small cars go for it!

it is a pretty nice car. It is mostly a teen car tho.

l own a tc. and its a really great car. a lot of things that are deemed luxury are standard. there is also options to do it yourself (like oil change and the like) its an entry level car for those who never had one. l highly recommend one. gas is not to bad, but l travel far so that is expected

I've got the '04 Scion TC & it is a good value car. l am going on 45K miles without repairs & l ride the hell out of it. You get ur monies worth with all the amenities that come standard. It is a cheap car that does not feel cheap.

The performance is decent. The TC is not a nimble car & heavy for a 2-door. Gas mileage is the sore spot. l am hovering at 21mpg, probably 50/50 city & highway. The sticker lied.

TC is an economy car that does not make the compromises you'd expect. Just do not expect a sporty car or the best mileage ;)

I've done my research on it, & am planning on buy one in July. Consumer guide best buy!!! Has the sporty looks that people like, the features of a more expensive luxury car & the reliability of Toyota behind it is name. I've spent numerous hours looking into any flaws or tech. problems & really the major only concern I've heard was there is too little room in the rear. Well it is a hatchback, so if people wanted more room, go get an SUV or something lol. And no, it is not a chick car!! :) Put the TRD exhaust & muffler with the rear ped spolier on it & u got ur one hell of a car my friend. Of course u can always look into putting in the TRD turbo lol. But overall, gas mileage 23/30 is good, 160 hp is all l really need & it has the great looks! l fell in love with this car & l drive a 05 civic ex & l find this to be much better then my little economy car. On a scale of 1-10 l rank it about a 9.8 Do what u think is best for you, but overall the Tc is an excellent choice!!! l do not see where u can go wrong! Good luck!

The Scion tC is an awesome car & would make a great first car due to its high build quality & reliability. l have had to opportunity to extensively drive a Scion tC & they r very fun & comfortable, has a good sounding stereo, & several standard safety features that other car in its class do not have. And it is safe in a collision. My best friend & 2 of her friends were struck from behind at approx 60 mph while at a stop, & no one in the car was hurt. l was amazing considering the rear bumper was almost in the back seat.
Its a good looking car to with made aftermarket parts available to customize ur car. The standard moonroof is also a welcome feature to let the wind run through ur hair in all seasons. It has keyless entry, anti lock brakes. l can not think of any bad things to say about the car.
l will say compare the price of a new one to a used. It may be worth ur time.

The Scion tC is a very decent car for a very decent price. You get ur money is worth! l bought myself a 07' tC spec package. l am happy with my investment. You can, at the dealership, get accessories: like the ground effects kit, spoiler, TRD lowering spring, OBX shift knobs, TRD exhaust, TRD Supercharger & a few other things.

l got none of the above. Simply because l wanna customize my own ride without spending a whole lot from the ''dealership.'' l am sure u know what l mean. Gas is okay, not that great, l agree with most here. 161 hp. . . minus tranny loss . . . so you've got about 147 hp at the wheels. Not too shabby. Want more HP? sooooo many aftermarket parts & u will be doing 200+ in no time. Goodluck & I'd say TEST DRIVE that baby & feel it for yourelf!

they also have a supercharged tc with 311 whp. it was fast. l like the boxy breed tho.

It is an excellent car! Great price and value, my only issue with it is it is small.

The tC is a great car. The only problem l have for this car so far is blind spots. You just have to look more carefully and observe for a little longer before backing up and merging lanes. Or maybe it is just me not so used to driving a car that is low. Good luck with your car search. (Come join the Scion gang!!) lol
