My husband would like to install a cold air intake in his 2007 Scion XB.l have no idea what brand to trust.Any suggestions would be helpful.
He does have at TRD exhaust on the XB.l just wonder if it will really make a difference.Would the warranty be voided if we installed a cold air intake that is not a TRD?

A cold air intake for the Scion XB would be kind of pointless. I'd tell him not to waste his money.

l suggest the FUJITA or AEM or INJEN!

Fujita is the best for one for Scion. l also suggest a SHORT RAM intake. Those work best on these cars bc they need to help on the take off.

They do work contrary to what others might believe, but later on he might want to add an exhaust kit or headers!

You should check out some of the scion websites (scionlife, ohioscions, etc.) to see what others have tried and found to be the best. Alot of scion enthusiasts want to help you and hear from you.

Do not go shorty intake, they just suck hot air into the engine lessening your HP. Cold Air Intakes are mainly just pipes no matter what brand you get.

1st the scion comes with cold air as an option. The TRD has Catback exhaust (all sound) which with cold air will not help HP or Torque. Cold air needs a Free flow exhaust like Borla turbo to get the most out of mods you mention.

l would suggest a K&N cold air intake. They are very reliable and come with great instructions on how to install the intake system.

You might want to call you toyota/scion dealership to make sure that if he installs anything on the car like that, he would not void the warrenty.
