l also have a keen interest in the XD and plan to test drive it the coming weekend. l think it is one of the best values in the subcompact (non-sedan) market due to features like a stronger than expected engine, cruise control, six-speaker sound system, larger than average tires, ton of airbags, and the option of Vehicle Stability Control. The options are way overpriced though. The small size is a little off putting too for highway driving.
