Is it a good car?My mom currently owns a volvo S70 but it is giving her a LOT of problems and she needs a new car.She likes the tC but its a bit small and its definitely a downgrade in certain ways.I am gunna be driving soon so obviously l wo not be in it much.

its a good car, its a toyota afterall. its very reliable gets good gas mileage too. l personally dont like it , its so teenagerish.. tell your mom to get something more grown up l would suggest a honda civic or toyota corolla. if she wants something a little bigger wiht more power, honda accord or camry is the way to go.

It is a awesome car! It is made by toyota so that tells you something right there lol. You can also do alot of hookin up to it, it is endless.

It is a great car, but like you said, it is kind of small. Driving a little car gets old really quick. Your mom would probably be happier driving a Camry or an Accord if one of those is an option.

the scion tc, is a very nice car. it is not the average car for an older person, it is more for the younger generation. as for warranty issues, it has been really good. just a few recalls, but nothing major. It is a small vehicle, but for ur mom, l would either recommend a corolla, which is fuel economy, & not much bigger than the scion tc, or she would be better off, with the camry. it is the number 1 selling car. & holds it is resale value extremly well.

both vehicles, have been pretty good, with any warranty issues, or recalls. just do ur normal maintance, & u will be in good shape

l own a brand new TC and l like it but without being lowered it rolls to much, could have a little more umpf, and has WAY to much plastic, but hey l feel way safe in it, and its very quiet. go for it its expensive but alright

By looking at the Scion tC, u r considering getting one of the finest automobiles ever made. Let is start with its main competitor: Honda Civic Si (Around $21,000 - $22,000). Scion tC sells for about $16,700 or so for manual transmission.

You r getting an great engine, from the Camry, a 2.4L 160hp, 163lbft, & VVT-i (which is better than the VTEC). You get an MP3 player with iPod input, 6 airbags, two moonroofs, reclining back seats, ABS, power EVERYTHING, & the reliability of the TOYOTA legacy. All of this for less than $17,000. You would have to custom-make add ons to the Civic to get a deal like this. & that will put the Civic at $25,000 if that.

l have owned one since 2005 & it is perfect. It even has a tire-pressure monitoring system. It is by far the greatest car l have owned.

Well the Scion TC is a good car, but it is geared toward the 16 to 24 age market (including those that are mentally at the ages of 16 to 24). l would recommend getting a Honda Accord because it has more space, similar horsepower, far greater reliability than a Volvo, and still looks good in a traditional classy way.
