if you caome to UAE you will see that the toyota scion XA marked with the toyota mark you instead of the Scion Mark

dont be fooled. scion is owned and imported by toyota. they DO NOT use the same quality parts in assembly nor are they assembled in the same plants.

well Scion started out a few years ago because it was meant for the latest generation of car buyers, they thought they could hit it off well with a company that is into the whole urban lifestyle and into the street scene with mods that you can get from the factory, but in Japan l know that the xA is called a Ista or Ist, and the scion xB is called the bB.

It is common for auto manufacturers to make the same model car, but sell it under different badges in different countries. Toyota owns Lexus, but until recently, u could not buy a Lexus in Japan. You could buy a Lexus car, but it had a Toyota badge on it.

l do not know what the heck that guy thinks with the first answer, but Toyota owns Scion & separated the brands because Toyota is marketed towards middle-aged buyers. So, they came up with Scion for the younger crowd.

The Scion xA & xB r based on the Toyota Echo platform - EXACT same engine, drive-train, suspension, etc. Extremely high quality & EXACTLY the same parts. And, the Scion tC is based on the Camry power-train - the rest of the underpinnings r different, but it is an excellent engine.
