You are correct, keep in mind that Scion is a division of Toyota, the xB are sweet. Yes they may look like a toaster on wheels but they feel like a bigger car when you are driving in one.

Scion is just a Toyota division here in US, mainly created to attract young buyers. In Japan, the xA is the Ist and the xB is the bB. The Japanese dont get the tC however. It is exclusively marketed for the Americans

Yes this is true. Scion is simply a brand Toyota created to give a ''hip'' image. Toyota is were not selling to the youth market. So they created a new division to create a few new models perfect for the youth market. Cheap, reliable, & trendy. Mission accomplished, but the cars would not sell branded as Toyotas in America, where brand is so important, so Toyota created Scion. This way Toyota could have hip commercials without alienating their older buyers. In Japan, no one really cares as much as Americans do. So they're just Toyotas.
