l had a scion tc
i traded it for a tacoma because l wanted a truck
i loved the car
i would suggest manual transmission, you lose so much power and control (especially in the scion) with an auto
i wouldnt customize it with the merchandise toyota offers though, its very overpriced and your tc will look like everyother one out there
get a basic, no bells and whistles tc and use the money you save to customize it..
youll love it

l LOVE my tC. It was my first dream car that l was actually able to get. l agree with the other answer, the stock tC comes standard with great stuff: sunroof, killer stereo, great wheels (although the upgraded 17' rims r NICE), engine has lots of power for a 4 banger, & it is priced nicely. l wish it got better gas mileage, but l bought it for sport & looks, not so much economy. l do not regret buying it at all. Love the car, love the looks l get. It is the best model in the scion line.
